Dixio is built offline-first. The game runs entirely on your phone, and the parts that talk to a server are a mirror of what is already there — never a condition of playing.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Innovation X SRL, Avenue Napoléon 8, 1180 Uccle, Belgium.
For anything in this policy — a question, a copy of your data, a deletion — write to hello@playdixio.com and a person will answer.
No account, no sign-up
Dixio has no login. We do not ask for your name, your email address or your phone number, and there is no profile to create.
What stays on your device
Your streak, your statistics, the words you have collected and your settings are stored on the phone itself. Deleting the app deletes them.
What is mirrored to our server
So that progress survives a reinstall, a copy of your own play history can be sent to a database in the European Union: which words you played, how many attempts each took, and the hints you spent. It is tied to an anonymous device identifier, never to you.
That row is readable only by the device that wrote it. It is never returned to another player.
Legal basis: performing the service you asked for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
What we never collect
We never send your free typed text anywhere. Only guesses that already exist in the dictionary are ever recorded, so an email address or a phone number typed into the box cannot become data.
Analytics and crash reports carry shapes, never content: no secret word, no guess and no free input appears in any event, breadcrumb or error message.
Advertising
Dixio shows ads from Google AdMob to pay for the free version. Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent first, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the app's settings.
Under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework we ask for consent to four purposes: storing and accessing information on your device (Purpose 1), measuring content performance (Purpose 8), understanding audiences through statistics (Purpose 9), and developing and improving products (Purpose 10).
We do not ask for consent to build advertising profiles or to personalise the ads you see (Purposes 3 and 4). The ads Dixio shows are not personalised.

Keeping the app working
When the app crashes, a report is sent to Sentry, hosted in the European Union, describing where in the code it broke. It carries no words you typed and no word you played.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a game that does not crash (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Paying for Premium
Dixio Premium is billed by Apple or by Google, not by us. Your payment details go to the store you bought from; Dixio never sees them, and never receives your card, address or billing name.
Who processes data for us
Supabase, for the database, hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, eu-central-1).
Sentry, for crash reports, hosted in the European Union.
Google, for advertising through AdMob.
Data sent outside the EU
Serving ads means personal data reaches Google LLC in the United States. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; where that does not cover a transfer, it relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your play history and crash reports stay in the European Union.
How long we keep it
What lives on your phone is kept until you delete the app.
The mirrored play history is kept for as long as the app is installed on that device, and is deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
Crash reports are kept only while they are useful for fixing the bug, and never longer than 90 days.
Children
Dixio is not intended for anyone under the age of digital consent in their own country — 14 in Italy, 13 in Belgium, and between 13 and 16 across the rest of the EU. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what is held about your device, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to us. We will act within 30 days.
You can also withdraw your advertising consent at any time, without affecting anything collected before you did.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit / Autorité de protection des données, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be), or to the supervisory authority of the country you live in — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so before the change takes effect.
